The beginning

I've always been interested in film.  Since my parents let my brother and I use the movie camera when I was about 8, I've been messing around filming things.  When a contest/TV show gave me the equipment needed to make a quality film (Hi Def Camera, lighting equipment, green screen, microphone, 24" iMac with editing software, etc.), I decided to try and become a better filmmaker.  I'm trying to learn, through experience and practice, how to make movies like the best of them.
I've made several videos for school (all entertaining, though not necessarily professional), countless attempts at comedy films with my brother (keyword: attempts), and other random videos; now it's time to get serious.  I've been scouring Craigslist for videographer jobs and I'm in preproduction on my first serious movie (It's currently being written by a friend), and I'm trying to learn more about the business (and the art) of film.
